0.2.0 May 1, 2026

Author’s room. Fourteen new ways to revise, publish, share, and collaborate — without the page getting busier.

Added

  • Version history with side-by-side diff — compare any two snapshots, restore at the paragraph level.
  • Live prose linter — passive voice, adverbs, filter words, long sentences, in the margin only.
  • Graveyard — deleted blocks recoverable for 90 days.
  • Where-am-I status — chapter, scene, day’s words, in a slim line at the foot of the editor.
  • Typewriter line mode — the active line stays vertically centred. ⌘⌥T.
  • Chapter word goals — targets per chapter, with a fill ring on the binder.
  • Story-structure templates — Save the Cat, Three-Act, Hero’s Journey, Story Grid, Freytag’s Pyramid.
  • Dialogue voice analysis — per-character voice fingerprint with drift detection (Pro).
  • PDF annotation in the research room — highlight, comment, pin to a scene.
  • Web clipper — Chrome and Safari extensions for sending articles to research with one click.
  • Scrivener .scriv import — drag a folder; binder, notes, and labels come across.
  • KDP self-publish PDF templates — 5x8, 5.5x8.5, 6x9 trims, properly typeset.
  • Beta-reader share link — private read-only URL with optional comments and an expiry (Pro).
  • Co-author mode — invite by email; full database row-level security; track changes synced (Pro).

Improved

  • Shunn manuscript DOCX export — tighter margins, cleaner running heads, real Word footnotes.
  • Folder-as-project mirror — faster, more reliable on machines with many small files.
  • Author Mode is now on by default for new Novel projects.

Fixed

  • Footer location read “Made in Maine” on three pages; corrected to Portland, Oregon.
  • Hero block on iPhone overlapped the navigation in landscape; flattened on widths under 540px.
  • Documentation screenshots populated with real demo content (The Great Gatsby) instead of placeholder text.
